Indian Dental Association (IDA), an NGO, is the premier organisation of dental professionals in India. The Association serves as the custodian of oral health in the country and a liaison between the people,dentists, dental colleges, dental students, government institutions and oral healthcare and dental product manufacturers, nationally and internationally. The organisation is governed by its own constitution and Hon. Secretary General represents the Association in all official matters of the Association.
The HO shall be based where the Hon. Secretary General resides or practices. The administration of the Association shall be done by the Head Office (HO), which shall be the registered Head Office of the Association. The Head Office represents the Association and Central Council in all matters of the Association. The Head Office shall function within the framework of the Constitution as per the direction of the CC.
The general management of the Head Office (HO), as a whole, shall be vested with the CC. Nobody in receipt of salary or an honorarium from the funds of the Association can be elected as an office bearer of the Association. The CC shall direct and regulate the general affairs of the Association, and its decision in all matters shall be final and binding, on matters of state/ local branches/ Defence Branch and individual members.
Council office bearers are elected members as per the procedures laid down in the Constitution, By-Laws, Rules and Regulations.
Registered Head Office:
The state branches elect members to the Central Council from respective state every year. The number shall be on the basis of the total strength of the state branch as on 31st July as per HO records.
The President in Consultation with HSG appoints number of Sub-Committees to support the functions of the Central Council. The Sub-Committee appointed always report to the Central Council through HO.
The general management of the state branch as a whole shall be vested with the EC of the branch, under guidance from HO. No one in receipt of salary or honorarium from the funds of the Association can be elected as office bearer of the Association.
State Executive Council office bearers are elected members as per the procedures laid down in the Constitution, Bye-Laws, Rules and Regulations.

State Branch Office (SO):
The Local branches elect members to the State Executive Council from respective local branches within the state every year. The number shall be on the basis of the total strength of the state branch as on 31st July as per HO records.
The State President in Consultation with HSS appoints number of Sub-Committees to support the functions of the State Executive Council. The Sub-Committee appointed always report to the State Executive Council through SO.
The State Executive Council and State Office shall function within the framework of the Constitution as per the direction of the Central Council.
The general management of the local branch shall be vested with the Local Executive Council of the branch, under the auspices of State Branch, HO and CC.
State Executive Council office bearers are elected members as per the procedures laid down in the Constitution, Bye-Laws, Rules and Regulations
Local Branch Office (LO):
Local branches elect members to the respective Local Executive Council on the basis of the total strength of the local branch as on 31st July as per HO records.
The Branch President in Consultation with HS appoints number of Sub-Committees to support the functions of the Local Executive Council. The Sub-Committee appointed always report to the Local Executive Council through LO.
