Transferring Ownership of a Dental Practice

After transferring ownership of a dental practice, the dentist should not conduct a dental practice under a trade name or an assumed name that is false or misleading in any material respect.

Use of the name of a dentist no longer actively associated with the practice may be continued for a period not to exceed one year, in small font and declared as 'formerly'.
