Ever since its inception in the year 1946, IDA has been actively involved in a wide spectrum of activities which includes National and International Conferences, Continuing Dental Education (CDE), Training and Competitive Programmes. IDA's focus is to promot the future dentist.
IDA's annual conference provides a platform for its members to take a peep into future technological advances at Trade Fairs and also to attend scientific deliberations by eminent National and International speakers.
Along with the FDI, the CDE wing of the Head office conducts many nationwide activities.
The Council on Dental Health (CDH) at state and local level on a regular basis plans and organizes oral health activities like school dental health education, dental camps, exhibitions, giving free dentures to the needy, etc.
Many state branches float these schemes for the welfare of members and their families. This scheme provides financial aid to the member’s family in the unfortunate event
The CDE constantly strives to keep student members abreast of latest break-throughs.
